I started skiing when I was 4 but I did not enjoy it at
all. When I was 7, I tried again and simply loved it! I started racing in
Switzerland as a mini and achieved pretty good results, so I carried on in the
Children's I and II, training with the regional team.
When I was in my first year junior, I really wanted to represent Great Britain
and therefore went to the British championships where I finished 3rd junior I in
slalom. From the following season I became a member of the English Alpine Ski
Team.
I am now in my early 20's and have been a member of
the England Alpine Ski Team for five years. I finished my studies in July
2006 and got my Maturity in Lausanne. Two days after my last exam, I joined the
full time British Development Team for which I was selected as A status. I have
been picked by the BOA (British Olympic Association) as a silver passport holder
which means I have prospects for the next Olympic game. From January 2007, I
started training privately with Alex Hosp (he used to be a pro skier) and
sometimes together with other racers from England. I mostly race the technical
disciplines: slalom and giant slalom.
